About Us The Transgender
Emergency Fund (TEF) first opened in 2008. Since then, we have distributed more than $6,100.00 of financial assistance
to trans people who are either experiencing homelessness or who are at high risk for homelessness throughout the
state of Massachusetts. We are one of the first funds of its kind in that our efforts are focused on providing relief
to low-income transgender community members. The TEF is staffed by volunteers and is run with virtually no overhead costs, allowing
us to give all donations to people in need.
The TEF is fiscally sponsored by AIDS Project Worcester, Inc.
At this time, TEF is only able to provide financial assistance to those living in Massachusetts. We encourage other communities
to create similar funds and philanthropy organizations. If you have any questions or if we can be of help to your efforts,
please contact us.
